Cut (A) Pipe insulation to roughly the shape of the puppy's ear or cut (B) caulk saver to length needed. Allow an extra 1-1 1/2 inches longer than the ear so that you have enough to fit into the base of the puppy's ear.
1.
Clean the puppy's ears with peroxide or alcohol. Test fit the foam to insure a good fit BEFORE applying adhesive.
2.
Working quickly and on one ear at a time, apply a light to moderate coat of adhesive to foam inserts FIRST (Because the pup will want to shake it's head when you apply the adhesive to his ear). Next apply a light to moderate coat of adhesive to the inside of the pup's ear where the foam will make contact. Quickly place the insert into the ear. Hold the puppy's head and apply light pressure for several seconds to hold the foam in place.
3.
Apply a short strip of the sports tape at the base of the ear as needed.
4.
And lastly. Use the adhesive remover to clean your fingers and to clean the inside of the puppy's ear each time the inserts are removed.
